Support MNfashion!

MNfashion needs your help right now!  Our organization has received amazing support from the Pohlad Foundation, but we realize that without the support of individuals like you, it will be difficult to make our goals.  Please take a moment to read what we have been doing the last year, review where we want to take the organization, then show your support! Please help us keep MNfashion a growing and viable resource to the independent fashion community in the Twin Cities.

So, what have we been doing through MNfashion?
*Our holiday retail pop-up store gave increased visibility for Twin Cities designers and paid over $8,000 total to designers involved.
*Voltage: Fashion Amplified continues to set new standards in quality and representation for the Twin Cities design community, while bringing together top talent from various scenes to produce a stellar night of entertainment and celebration.
*MNfashion Weekend has grown to MNfashion Week, with diverse events, workshops, networking opportunities and visibility with an exciting buzz surrounding it all.
*Development of a dedicated and talented Board of Directors and set of Program Committees.

Our goals for the next 12 months:
*Finalize the drafts of our bylaws and strategic business plan and establish 501c3 status. (donations are still tax deductible through our fiscal agent, Sringboard for the Arts)
*Continue to produce our current programs: Spring/Fall MNfashion Week, Voltage: Fashion Amplified and a pop-up Holiday Boutique 2009.
*Develop a Sewing Cooperative that provides studio and workspace to designers, with education and production capabilities in the future.

Our goals for the next 3 years:
* National recognition for MNfashion and the independent fashion community of Minnesota.
* A Sewing Cooperative that is a viable and sustainable resource for the fashion community.
*  A Retailer Association that provides a network for local independent boutiques.
* Established structure and governance for Board of Directors.
* Vital volunteer program.
* Ensure all programs are self-sustaining and growing in visibility, effectiveness and respect.
* Launch an MNfashion space that will house the Sewing Cooperative, MNfashion headquarters, retail space and meeting space.

All of this comes from a foundation of drive and passion, and a whole lot of human  energy.  However, there are many expenses involved and while our programs are on their way to becoming self-sustaining, we need financial support and contributions to aid us in our growth. 3. Donate your unwanted but good-condition items to the garage sale.  We will carry everything from books and sewing supplies to clothes and accessories. Fashion and design centric items are great, but we will accept all items in good condition. Contact info@mnfashion.org to arrange drop-off.
