January 31st, 2012
To combat the number one killer of women in America, sometimes you have to start seeing red…literally. “Heart disease is the number one killer of women in America,” says Dr. Jennifer Dankle of the University of Minnesota Physicians Heart: Women’s Heart Programs. “It kills more women each year than all cancers combined.”
That’s why top local designers are dressing local celebrity models head-to-toe in original red dresses for the Red Dress Collection, presented by MNfashion for Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week on Feb. 19, 2012. Read More »

Unveiled Tonight: 13 Little Black Dresses
October 6th, 2011
In 1926, Vogue magazine likened Chanel’s little black dress to a Model T Ford: Versatile and universally popular. The LBD has been a closet staple ever since. Join 13 of the top local apparel designers as they celebrate the LBD in all its glory at this cocktail party held in Jon Oulman’s new venue, Amsterdam Bar and Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Each designer will showcase their version of fashion’s holy grail in a runway segment at 8:30 p.m. The designers featured tonight are Max Lohrbach, Maritza Ramirez, Danielle Everine, Ivan Idland, Raul Osorio, Sarah Holm, Amanda Christine, George Moskal, Laura Fulk, Jenny Carle, Emma Berg, Jenn Bratvold and Nicole Larson. Come see how each designer’s take on the classic LBD and, in addition, each will show a look from a past collection (the alternative to the little black dress, the ALBD, if you will).
The event is free and open to the public (but must be 21 +). Validated parking is provided in the Lawson ramp and detailed directions are available here. We look forward to seeing you there!
