SGMS is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a runway show! The show will include a broad range of alternative fashions of Lolita, Steampunk and cosplay designs created by designers from across the country. The fashion show kicks off the weekend workshop, SGMS: Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits: Culture and Creation in Anime and Manga.

The workshop includes lectures form scholars studying these complex art forms, voice actors and manga creators, classes in manga creation, fashion design and screenings of anime and J-drama. Special guest is Sean Michael Wilson, a manga editor from Japan. The workshop opens Friday, September 24, 2010 with the fashion show and continues until Sunday, September 26, 2010.
