				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>MNfashion is excited to announce the launch of a limited edition Voltage 2013 lipstick color created by Minneapolis artisan cosmetic house, The Elixery, which will be available for purchase at Voltage on Saturday, June 8 at First Avenue.</p>
<p> The custom color, with its combination of pink and orange tones and satin finish, debuts just in time for summer and is complimentary to all skin tones. </p>
<p> “We’re thrilled to offer this exclusive lip color to Voltage attendees thanks to the talent and generosity of The Elixery,” says Amy Overman, executive director of MNfashion. “The color is perfectly on trend for the season and The Elixery is a company that has long supported the local fashion and music scenes. This Voltage 2013 lipstick is the start of a nice tradition for the event.”</p>
<p> Only 225 tubes of the Voltage lipstick have been produced and will be available for purchase at the event for $18. Should any tubes be available after Voltage, they can be purchased through <a href="http://www.mnfashion.org/">MNfashion.org</a> for $20 plus tax and shipping. 100% of the proceeds will benefit MNfashion.</p>
<p> This limited edition lipstick has been compounded from scratch and hand-poured in a small laboratory in Minneapolis. It is also 100% vegan and cruelty free as well as PETA certified.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>MNfashion is excited to announce the designer and music lineup for the return of Voltage, taking place Saturday, June 8 in First Avenue’s mainroom. In partnership with Vita.mn and 89.3 The Current, the event will showcase sixteen local designers – eight apparel and eight accessory – who will present Spring 2013 collections alongside four local bands for a night of fashion and music.</p>
<p>“We’re honored to be partnering with Vita.mn and The Current on Voltage,” says Amy Overman, executive director of MNfashion. “Both are huge supporters of the local arts and we’re proud to have them involved in an event that showcases Twin Cities talent in fashion and music. It’s these kinds of collaborations and mutual inspiration that make the Twin Cities such a great place to be an artist of any kind.”</p>
<p>Tickets for Voltage are $28 advance/$33 at the door and can be purchased through <a href="http://www.first-avenue.com">First Avenue</a>. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Voltage is a 21+ show.</p>

The event will showcase sixteen local designers – eight apparel and eight accessory – who will present Spring 2013 collections alongside four local bands for a night of fashion and music.</p>
<p>“We’re coming off our most successful fashion week to date and excited to keep the momentum going by bringing back an event that has had significant support from the local fashion and music communities,” says Amy Overman, executive director of MNfashion. “Voltage has played a special role in MNfashion’s history and growth as an organization and we’re looking forward to reinstating it as an annual production.”</p>
<p>A final lineup of designers and bands, information on tickets, the official Voltage after-party and more will be available at <a href="http://mnfashion.org/">MNfashion.org</a> in the coming weeks.</p>
<p>MNfashion is currently accepting <a href="http://mnfashion.org/mn-fashion-events/voltage-accessory-designer-application/">accessory</a> and <a href="http://mnfashion.org/mn-fashion-events/voltage-apparel-designer-application/">apparel applications</a> from Twin Cities designers interested in participating in Voltage. <p>“The Emerging Designers show is our way of introducing new talent to the community,” says Amy Overman, executive director at MNfashion. “Many of these designers will go on to be a major boon to the local fashion industry and we look forward to helping them grow.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>During the two-hour show, witness the designs of Carly Shoen, a self-taught designer specializing in womenswear. She brings a refined attitude to sportswear through heirloom details and quality textiles, all while embracing her adventurous inner animal.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Brianna Westlund, whose designs embody a classic and conceptual mixture of period inspiration and modern edge. She creates ageless romantic clothing with effortless wearability.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Sisters Ellie and Becky Niemeyer, who started their clothing brand, Idle Child in April of 2012, focusing on women’s one-of-a-kind garments.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Founded and designed by Rachel Roff and named after her maiden name, the deLange fashion line combines vintage lace and trims with fresh patterns and modern fabric for a romantic and intriguing aesthetic.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The event begins at 6 p.m., and no tickets are necessary, but a suggested donation is welcomed.</p>

During the party experience the great company of MNfashion members and designers, delicious foods and libations, amazing live entertainment and the not-to-be missed swag provided by MSPFW’s title sponsors. </p>
<p>“We’re excited to kick of Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion week in style,” says Kyle Thompson, marketing director at MNfashion. “Our amazing sponsors Peroni and Mall of America, and party hosts Gingerhop and Honey, have helped create an event perfect for unwinding from the week and getting a glimpse into what you’ll see at the upcoming fashion week events.”</p>

<p>”These events are not to be missed,” says Tara Murphy, managing director at MNfashion. “The level of talent between the 10 local designers is phenomenal. MNfashion is honored to support and nurture these individuals and help bring their designs to the public.”</p>
<p>Produced by MNfashion, The Shows will take place Feb. 21 and 22, and feature both new and returning designers to The Shows including three who will present men’s wear collections – Nicole Larson, Max Lohrbach and TIM + THOM.</p>
<p>Tickets for The Shows will be $25 in advance or $35 at the door and are <a href="http://www.tempotickets.com/tempotickets/site/pages/listing.php?c=229&amp;ob=0&amp;se=">available for purchase today</a>. Tickets include seat to the show and invitation to a pre-show cocktail hour with complimentary appetizers and access to a cash bar starting at 6:30 p.m.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>(MINNEAPOLIS – Jan. 28, 2013) MNfashion is excited to announce the lineup of events for Autumn/Winter 2013 Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week (MSPFW) along with other changes. Aria will be the new location and official home of The Shows and Peroni and Mall of America are official sponsorship partners.</p>
<p>”We are thrilled with the developments and changes this season,” says Amy Overman, executive director at MNfashion. “Peroni and Mall of America are both brands that have a demonstrated commitment to the fashion industry and Aria is a beautiful space with a great canvas against which to view the collections. These partnerships are a great indicator of the success and growth independent fashion is experiencing right now in the Twin Cities.”</p>
<p>The Shows, runway events produced by MNfashion, are back for two nights featuring 10 local designers on Feb. 21 and 22. The lineups feature both new and returning designers to The Shows including three who will present men’s wear collections – Nicole Larson, Max Lohrbach and TIM + THOM.</p>
<p>Also returning this season is the Emerging Designer Showcase on Feb. 18, introducing up-and-coming designers to the Twin Cities community.
